About Me

What is livehealthysavemore.com?
My goal is to create blog centered on holistic healthy living. I am hoping to use my education and life experiences to help others become more of who they are created to be. I want to provide information on easy ways to take steps towards health in a variety of areas, (financial, emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual).

My name is Angie, and I am a newly married graduate student just trying to make it in this crazy world. My faith is foundational to who I am and who I want to be. I am not perfect, that is for sure. I don’t exercise every day (5 days on a good week), and I just started recycling last month. After that disclaimer, you might be asking yourself why I choose to write a blog on healthy, frugal, and green living. Well, the answer has to do with my new favorite word: process.

We are all on some kind of journey. My goal for this blog to share a little bit of what I have learned on my journey and invite you to do the same. I used to say that life is about progress not perfection, but these days I am learning it is less about progress and more about process. Just semantics you say? I disagree. Progress implies that I must always be generating results, as where process is about enjoying the journey. My laid back husband is rubbing off already. I am learning that life isn’t all about bottom lines, efficiency, and production, but it is more about learning, growing, being, and loving. I want to live outside of my to-do list. Don’t get me wrong, lists and time management are in important part of a healthy life, but for far too long they have been my masters. It is time to pursue the balance we were created for.

I hope to find simple ways for all of us to incorporate healthy choices into our daily lives. I do have some credentials that give me voice to speak to these areas. I am nationally certified massage therapist, In addition, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies, a Master’s Degree in Interpersonal Relations, and I am currently pursing a Doctoral Degree. Also for the last two and a half years, I have spent extensive time researching money saving techniques and effective couponing strategies. I have been able to reduce our total monthly grocery budget (including toiletries and household supplies) to $125-$135 a month. I look forward to translating this knowledge into useful and empowering online content. Thanks for being a part of this journey with me.
